In February, Brazil's rice exports and revenue saw a significant decrease compared to the same month in 2024, with a total of 62.5 thousand tons exported and revenue of US$ 21.6 million. This decline is primarily due to the new crop harvest not being fully available yet and a smaller harvest from the previous year. The main destinations for Brazil's processed rice exports included Peru, Cuba, and the United States. Additionally, rice imports into Brazil also saw a slight decrease, and the industry also reported a drop in processed rice shipments domestically.
