Dutch potato exports have seen a significant increase compared to the previous marketing season, with Belgium, France, and Spain showing the most significant increases in potato purchases. Belgium has bought 321,000 tons, a 114,000-ton increase from the previous year, while France has purchased 40,000 tons, 13,000 tons more than last year. Spain's imports from the Netherlands have also risen, likely due to a dry growing season, by 12,000 tons. Outside of Europe, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mauritania, and Trinidad and Tobago have also increased their purchases. Overall, Dutch potato exports have reached 657,000 tonnes, a significant increase from the previous season's intermediate position of 508,000 tonnes.
