Ghana: Agric Minister lauds FSRP poultry at farmers’ day

By Wisdom JONNY-NUEKPE Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong has lauded the West African Food Systems Resilience Programme (FSRP) for meeting the project’s poultry production timeline and embarking on its maiden chicken road show at this year’s National Farmers Day Exhibition, dubbed Agrifest. The FSRP Chicken Road Show” is to enable the Ghanaian public to sample Grown-in-Ghana broiler chicken. Under the road show, selected beneficiary anchor farmers under FSRP grilled between 1000 and 2000 hygienic, nutritious and delicious locally bred chicken for sampling by sections of the public. The five-day fair, which is hosted by MoFA, is an integral part of the National Farmers Day Celebration and forms part of activities to commemorate the events.
