In the first half of 2021, Serbia's export earnings were predominantly from the European Union (EU), contributing 55.8% or 1.1 billion euros, followed by the CEFTA countries with 22.7% or 448.8 million euros, and Russia with 7.8% or 153.6 million euros. Corn, frozen raspberries, wheat, and Serbian tobacco cigarettes were the top agricultural exports. On the other hand, imports were led by the EU with 67.2% or 748.8 million euros, followed by the CEFTA countries with 8.6% or 96.3 million euros, and Russia with 4% or 45.1 million euros. The period saw an increase in imports from the EU by 11.4%, but a decrease in imports from Russia by 21.1% compared to the same period in 2020.
