Vietnam's rice exports are expected to bring in a record turnover of approximately 5 billion USD this year due to high demand from traditional markets like the Philippines and Indonesia. The prices of some rice types in the Mekong Delta have slightly decreased, while rice export prices have remained stable. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is organizing a review of seven pilot models for the Project on Sustainable Development of One Million Hectares of High-Quality and Low-Emission Rice Cultivation, which aims to increase yields, reduce production costs, and profitability for farmers. Meanwhile, rice export prices in India have fallen to a three-month low due to weak demand, and Thai rice prices have risen to their highest since late June. In the US, wheat, corn, and soybean prices on the Chicago Board of Trade have all fallen due to profit-taking and high estimates of US corn production.
