[Agricultural, Fisheries and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Lee Moon-ye] Agricultural-related organizations have collectively expressed their welcome after the government announced a policy improvement allowing part-time work for co-managing owners. On the 25th, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced a revision plan to allow female co-managing owners to maintain their status even if they take on part-time work temporarily, provided that their annual income from the part-time work is less than 20 million won and they have been engaged in farming for at least 90 days a year. This revision aims to address the rural reality where farmers must seek temporary employment during the busy farming season to sustain their livelihood, and it is set to be implemented from March next year.
