On April 6, 2023, Vietnam saw a significant increase in the prices of key agricultural products, with coffee and pepper reaching 49,500 VND/kg to 50,000 VND/kg and 63,000 VND/kg to 65,500 VND/kg, respectively. This surge is mirrored in the global market, where Robusta and Arabica coffee prices have risen, and pepper prices vary by type and origin. Vietnam has experienced a notable increase in pepper exports of nearly 35% in the first two months of 2023, recovering Chinese demand, while Indonesia and India also see rises in their pepper exports. In contrast, Brazil's pepper exports have decreased by 5.5% in volume and 36.3% in value, with a slight average export price increase but still showing a significant year-over-year decrease.
