Coffee and pepper prices are reported to have fallen on the global market, with coffee prices fluctuating between 40,200 and 41,100 VND/kg in Vietnam, and robotusta coffee in London decreasing by 0.70%, while arabica coffee in New York decreased by 4.54%. The International Coffee Organization predicts a slight increase in global coffee consumption in the 2020-2021 crop year, but concerns about the Omicron variant and economic growth have been raised. Meanwhile, pepper prices have also decreased in Vietnam, and China's pepper imports from Indonesia have decreased, but increased from Vietnam, Brazil, and India. China's strict quarantine measures may further disrupt pepper supply.
