The Ministry of Agriculture in Egypt is implementing a strategy to boost the productivity of eight crops, including corn, soy, millet, cowpea, fodder beet, bonicam, Sudan hashish, and elephant grass, with the goal of including them in the agricultural map across the governorates. The strategy aims to achieve self-sufficiency in strategic crops, especially fodder and oils. The ministry will cultivate 150,000 acres of soybean this season, with plans to expand to half a million acres in 2024. The government has increased the guarantee limit for corn, sunflowers, and soybeans to support poultry producers.
