In June 2021, Brazil's agricultural exports reached US$ 12.1 billion, a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2020, as reported by the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA). This growth is largely due to the rise in commodity prices and these exports made up 43.1% of Brazil's total exports. The first half of 2021 saw a 20.8% increase in foreign sales, amounting to US$ 61.5 billion. Soybeans were the top export earner in June, followed by raw cane sugar. There was a notable increase in exports of plywood, non-carded and combed cotton, and chicken meat. China, the European Union, and the United States were the leading recipients of these exports. The Agro.BR project, aimed at promoting the supply of Brazilian agricultural products in foreign trade, also experienced growth. Additionally, there was a significant increase in the export of dairy products, bee products, and various other commodities like tea, mate, spices, fish, and fruit.
