The South Solok Agriculture Service in West Sumatra has announced the distribution of 1,000 head of cattle to five local groups by the Ministry of Agriculture, aiming to boost the local economy. Each group is responsible for managing 20 hectares of forage land and will receive additional infrastructure support for cages, compost processing houses, feed choppers, and concentrate feed. The cattle are expected to arrive in November or December, and the groups are encouraged to complete the pens promptly. The plan includes selling male bulls to recoup costs, with the possibility for other groups to join the corporation and receive training in forming group institutions.
