He stated that reducing interest rates would allow the industry to sell higher-value products, such as trucks. "We have a problem that I hope can start to be resolved soon, which is the issue of the interest rate," said Alckmin, after participating in an event of an automaker in Sao Jose dos Pinhais (PR). "We are seeking other alternatives, but we are working to have lower interest rates." At the beginning of this month, the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank (Copom) maintained the Selic at 15% per year.
