In 2019, Almería led Spanish exports with 44 products, including peppers, tomatoes, and cement manufactures, accounting for a significant portion of the total weight and value of Spain's exports. The province also represented over 90% of Spain's exports in products such as capers, live insects, hazelnuts, bees, and peppers. In response to the economic challenges posed by Covid-19, the Andalusian Government has launched the Active International Program to reactivate the internationalization of Andalusian companies, particularly those most affected by the crisis. The program includes short-term measures such as creating a map of export markets in recovery, providing specialized consulting to exporting companies, and improving Extenda's services to enhance company liquidity.
