Applications for duty-free imports of chicken to Russia have increased more than 5 times

The Ministry of Agriculture accepted for consideration new applications for the supply of 225.98 tons of chicken meat under a duty-free quota. Interfax reports this with reference to materials from the ministry. The first of them were only 43.2 tons. The agricultural department has not yet announced an official decision on the refusal or acceptance of both new and old batches. Just as in the first case, the name of the importing country, how it plans to distribute volumes, and other details are not reported. When making a decision to admit a consignment for import, the Ministry of Agriculture will issue importers with the documents necessary for this procedure, and will also post on its official website data on the remaining volumes of products for which appropriate tariff benefits are provided.
