Bo'er City in Yunnan, China, has become the largest producer of high-quality Arabica coffee, a favorite among international brands like Nestle and Starbucks. Despite only beginning industrial coffee cultivation about 30 years ago, recent years have seen market opportunities for Arabica coffee, with the industry becoming more prosperous and attracting younger generations. In 2022, Yunnan produced 55.7 thousand tons of coffee, generating a comprehensive production value of 5.045 billion yuan. The province's coffee production has also inspired neighboring countries to grow coffee. The city is now focusing on transforming low- and medium-production coffee plantations and developing integrated coffee tourism. The average income of local coffee farmers in 2022 was 6,942 yuan.
