A research team from the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Argentina has proposed several practices to boost the productivity of the olive oil sector in the region. The practices include introducing varieties adapted to local conditions, transferring irrigation technologies, modernizing and mechanizing management, improving oil quality, and utilizing waste from the olive industry. The team has been conducting research for the past 30 years, with a focus on technological support for the industry. The province of Catamarca in Argentina currently has around 12,000 hectares of olive groves.
