Argentina's pork and pork offal exports saw a significant increase of 63% between January and September 2020, with China being the primary recipient. The country exported 32,276 tons of pork and pork offal to four continents in the first nine months of the year, a notable increase from the same period in 2019. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on export standards and protocols, Argentina has managed to maintain access to 39 markets for its pork products. On the other hand, Spain has experienced a growth in its pork exports, with China becoming the top destination, contributing to 39.5% of Spain's pork sales in the first half of 2020, marking a 107% increase in volume and a significant rise in value compared to the previous year.
