Argentina’s sunflower meal exports in September reached their highest level in 25 years

Argentina’s sunflower meal exports reached a 25-year monthly high in September, reaching 180,000 tonnes, almost 90% of which were destined for the EU and the UK. For the 2024/25 marketing year (October-September), meal exports increased to 1.37 million tonnes from 1.12 million tonnes a year earlier. Argentina’s sunflower oil exports in September are estimated at 170,000 tonnes, increasing total shipments for July-September 2025 to 590,000 tonnes, compared to 380,000 tonnes in the same period in 2024, according to Oil World (Germany).
