The Ministry of Economy's Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries reported that sheep meat exports between January and July of 2025 reached 4,210 tons, representing a 2.51% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and a cumulative growth of 19% compared to 2023, according to data provided by SENASA. The month of July 2025 stood out especially, with 402 certified tons, which meant an interannual increase of 89.5% compared to the same month of the previous year. As for destinations, Argentine sheep meat maintains a presence in strategic markets such as Brazil, Tunisia, Oman, Curaçao, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, and continues to gain ground in other destinations such as Spain, Russia, the Bahamas, and Saint Martin. Particularly, exports to the European Union registered an increase of nearly 70% in the period from January to July 2025, reaching a historical maximum for the series since 2019.
