As of April 1, 21 regions in Ukraine have begun sowing spring crops, an increase from 15 regions last year, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. The main spring crops cover spring wheat, barley, rapeseed, oats, peas, sunflower, soybeans, and sugar beet, spanning over more than 13.438 million hectares. However, this is a decrease of 3.478 million hectares compared to last year. Additionally, the sowing of winter crops for the 2022 harvest was carried out on 7.7 million hectares, including wheat, rye, and barley. Agricultural enterprises are also in the process of feeding winter crops with nitrogen mineral fertilizers and providing necessary care.
