The General Administration of Chinese Customs has announced the opening of China's market to frozen fruit imports from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), effective February 1, 2022. The regulation stipulates that only fruit frozen at -18 ° C or below and processed within 30 minutes of being peeled and stone-removed can be imported. This development is anticipated to broaden the source diversity for China's frozen fruit supply and offers CEE countries an opportunity to increase their market share in China, which currently stands at 8%.
