The annual sale of hot dogs in Hungary is around 34,000 tons, with 10-25 percent sold in the last month of the year, according to NAK and the Hungarian Meat Industry Association. Customers are showing a preference for cheaper products, leading to a decrease in the turnover of sausages with sheep casings and an increase in demand for sausages with artificial casings. NAK and the Meat Association recommend choosing Hungarian products for New Year's Eve, as they are constantly checked and designed for the domestic taste, with at least 51 percent meat content according to strict regulations.
