The Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) announced a 12.8% decrease in the cost of making kimchi for 20 heads of cabbage compared to last year. The cost is also 5.7% less than a month ago and 0.8% less than a week ago. Prices of radish, cabbage, green onion, chives, onion, and leaf mustard have also fallen by 1-2%. However, the prices of water parsley and ginger have increased due to insufficient supply. aT is monitoring the prices of 14 major kimchi ingredients in 17 traditional markets and 27 large retailers across the country.
