This year, the autumn harvest campaign at TG Agro was halted by rains. Overall, in terms of moisture levels, this year has been successful for spring crops in the Kyiv region—approximately 550 mm of precipitation fell throughout the year. This was stated by Serhiy Voynelovich, the director of TG Agro, in an article on Latifundist.com as part of the special project "The Salt of the Earth: Stories of Ukrainian Agrarians" supported by FUIB. In previous years, it was significantly drier, although the average amount of precipitation remains stable, it is just distributed unevenly, he explains.
