(Goesan=Yonhap News) Reporter Yoon Woo-yong = On the 8th, Goesan County, North Chungcheong, announced that 127 million won worth of dried chili peppers were sold at the chili festival held from the 4th to the 7th.

This is an increase of 117 million won over the sales from last year's festival (1.09 billion won).

The number of visitors was 311,000, an increase of 46,000 from the 265,000 visitors last year.

The county explained that these results were achieved by organizing the program with various chili-themed experiences, performances, and exhibitions tailored to different generations.

County head Song In-heon said, "We will create a festival that makes agriculture, tourism, and the local economy circulate in a virtuous cycle."
