Authorization of 7.4 million for the eradication of animal diseases

The Council of Ministers has authorized the proposal to distribute 7.4 million euros among the autonomous communities for their application in programs for the eradication of animal diseases. Once authorized, the Sectorial Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development will approve the territorial distribution of the funds, as indicated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in a statement. The objective of this line is to support the execution of programs that allow the control and subsequent eradication of certain animal diseases of importance due to their implications for animal health and the consequent repercussions they can have on public health and on the exports of Spanish livestock products.
