Baixio de Irecê promises to be the new Eldorado of agricultural production in Brazil

With works started in 1999, the largest irrigated perimeter in Latin America, with 105 thousand hectares, had two stages inaugurated, but production never started. The estimate of Codevasf (Development Company of the São Francisco and Parnaíba Valleys), a company linked to the Ministry of National Integration, is to start activities on at least 3,000 hectares by the end of this year.
