This was reported by the head of the Technological Development Department in the livestock sector of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Andrey Kuznetsov, at a beekeeping symposium. According to Rosstat, in 2024, the country had 2.5 million bee colonies, of which about 93% are kept in households. The growth in the number of bee colonies is being recorded specifically in the organized sector—agricultural organizations and farm enterprises. "The number of bees in agricultural organizations increased by 3.8%, and in KFHs by about 1%. Since 2021, the growth in the farm segment has already reached 10%," Kuznetsov noted.
