In the early months of 2025, Ukraine experienced a notable increase in beer production, reaching 29.0 million dalons worth, which is a 106.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Despite this growth, the production volumes are not yet back to their pre-war levels of 2021, due to disruptions in supply and distribution chains caused by military operations. Exports of Ukrainian beer also haven't regained their pre-war levels, with a decrease in exports to $27.8 million in 11 months of 2024, compared to $42.2 million in 2021. Additionally, the introduction of high tariffs on beer imports by the new US President has raised concerns in Europe, threatening to result in the loss of 100,000 jobs and the closure of breweries.
