Bird flu outbreaks in various countries, including the United States, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, and Malaysia, have led to a global shortage of chicken eggs, resulting in price hikes and purchase limits for consumers. However, Thailand has managed to protect its poultry farms from the outbreaks and maintains sufficient egg productivity. Despite an increase in the cost of animal feed and labor, Thai chicken eggs remain affordable and are not experiencing the same price surges as other countries. Thai farmers are currently facing challenges with the rise in chicken feed prices, and the government has been urged to intervene to support the production and availability of animal feed to maintain stable prices and production levels.
