Blueberry season turned out to be unsuccessful for Serbian producers

Serbian blueberry growers are complaining about a rainy season in late spring and cool summer weather that has led to problems with the quality of the berries in the open field during the 2023 harvest. Sladjana Vuković, CEO of Serbian export company Srbovoće, calls 2023 “a bad year for Serbian blueberry producers.” Srbovoće's production volumes have not decreased, but rains have damaged the blueberry harvest in Serbia, EastFruit reports, according to FreshPlaza. The manager explains: “Blueberry production volumes were very good, we received no less than we expected. All of our indoor raspberries and blackberries were sold locally, indicating there is scope to increase production, which we plan to do next year.
