A survey by Spisefakta reveals that the preference for food labeled 'produced in Norway' has increased among Norwegian consumers, with 53% prioritizing it, up by 5% since 2019. The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Sandra Borch, views this as consumer support for Norwegian food production. A successful campaign to extend the sales season for Norwegian cabbage, backed by New Norway, Green Producers' Cooperation Council, and the Information Office for Fruit and Vegetables (OFG), has been highlighted as a strategy to boost Norwegian produce. Nina Sundqvist, CEO of the Norwegian Food Foundation, suggests that clear labeling of Norwegian produce can improve its sales. Guttorm Rebnes, director of OFG, emphasizes the potential for similar campaigns with other Norwegian fruits and vegetables.
