Brazil: Bosnia and Herzegovina opens market for poultry meat exports

The Brazilian government welcomed the announcement by the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina that Brazil has authorized the export of poultry meat to that country. This opening, which should help increase trade flows between the two countries, is yet another demonstration of international confidence in Brazil's health control system. Between January and October 2024, Brazilian chicken meat exports totaled US$8.17 billion, equivalent to 4.38 million tons. The world's third largest producer and largest exporter of chicken meat, Brazil supplies approximately 170 countries with this animal protein, thus contributing to the food and nutritional security of its trading partners.
