In the first five months of 2023, Paraguay saw a slight increase in beef exports, reaching 128,328 tons sent to 49 countries, valued at USD 612.7 million. Six of these markets were new for Paraguay, including Vietnam, Ghana, Montenegro, Slovenia, the Bahamas, and Antigua and Barbuda. Despite the increase in export volume, a 1% decrease in shipments led to a 10% drop in revenues due to lower product prices compared to the same period in 2022, when Paraguay earned USD 683.5 million for 127,397 tons exported.
