According to a December 16 report from the São Paulo Daily in Brazil, four years ago, U.S. beef production was still 31% higher than Brazil's, but this year, the beef market has undergone a series of unpredictable changes. At the beginning of the year, the market generally predicted that Brazilian beef production would decline, but this was not the case. Data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (with little difference from Brazilian domestic statistics) shows that this year, Brazilian beef production is expected to rise to 12.35 million tons, an increase of 4% from 2024.
