Brazil's pork exports saw a significant increase in May compared to the same period last year, with a 13.9% rise to 101.7 thousand tons and revenue increasing by 23% to US$ 251.4 million. The accumulated exports from January to May also increased by 15.5% to 481.1 thousand tons, generating 28.2% more revenue at US$ 1.149 billion. China remains the largest importer of Brazilian pork, importing 20.8% more in the first five months of the year, but other countries like Mexico, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Chile, and Singapore also contributed to the growth in exports. This growth indicates successful market diversification for Brazil's pork industry.
