A ship carrying around 55,000 tons of dry distillery grains with solubles (DDGS), a nutrient-rich co-product of corn ethanol production, has departed from the Brazilian port of Paranaguá for Vietnam. This marks the third significant DDGS shipment from the port this year, following one to the UK and one to Turkey, reflecting an increase in Brazilian ethanol production. The country's corn ethanol production is projected to reach 4.5 billion liters in the 2022/2023 crop, a 31% increase from the previous season, with DDGS exports playing a supporting role.
