In April, Brazil's beef exports revenue fell by 43% to US$ 1.104 billion and the volume dropped by 25% to 140.7 thousand tons, primarily due to a decrease in imports from China, which had interrupted purchases in March. From January to April, beef sales abroad generated US$ 2.882 billion, a 28% decrease from the same period last year. However, pork exports saw an increase both in April and the first four months of the year, with a 16.6% rise in volume and a 29.9% increase in revenue. Protein shipments from Brazil totaled 379.4 thousand tons from January to April, a 15.9% increase compared to the same period of the first four months of last year.
