Brazil's pork exports have seen a record first half of the year, with a total of 613.7 thousand tons shipped, marking a 4.1% increase from the same period last year. Despite generating 8% less revenue, at US$ 1.300 billion, the shift in exports has seen a decrease in shipments to China, with the country now accounting for less than half of Brazil's pork exports. The Philippines and Japan have emerged as the largest importers, with the Philippines seeing a significant 65.3% increase in imports. Other growing markets include Chile, Singapore, and Peru. Santa Catarina remains the leading pork exporting state in Brazil.
