Brazil's coffee exports hit a record high in November, with a 5.4% increase to 4.662 million 60 kg bags, generating a revenue of US$ 1.343 billion, a 62.7% increase from the same month in 2023. The first five months of the 2024/25 crop year saw a 16.5% increase in shipments, with a total of 22.017 million bags and revenue of US$ 5.955 billion. However, the lack of infrastructure at Brazilian ports has led to additional costs for exporters. The United States, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Japan were the main importers of Brazilian coffee in 2024, with the European Union accounting for 47.7% of shipments.
