In August, Brazil's rice exports saw a significant decrease from the previous year, with unhulled rice exports dropping by 41.5% to 164.4 thousand tons, generating $66.2 million in revenue. Milled rice exports also decreased by 21.5%, totaling 103.5 thousand tons and generating $36.8 million in revenue. The main destinations for Brazilian processed rice included Senegal, Gambia, and the Dominican Republic. On the other hand, Brazil's rice imports increased to 136.5 thousand tons, spending $64.7 million, slightly more than the previous month's imports of 164.6 thousand tons, which cost $62.3 million.
