Brazil's Tahitian lime exports reached a record high in 2024 and continued to grow in January 2025, with shipments increasing by 18.1% from January 2024. However, future exports are expected to decline due to smaller fruit size and tougher skin. The citrus canker disease also poses a threat to growers, as it makes contaminated fruit difficult to export. On the local market, lime prices fell in late February due to the lower quality of the fruit, while orange prices for the Pear variety saw a slight increase.
