In December 2022, Brazil's broiler chick production reached its highest level in over two years, with a total of 621.7 million head, a slight increase from the previous year but a decrease from the month before. The total production for the year was nearly 6.87 million head, marking a slight decrease from 2021. The decrease in production was due to a reduction in the first half of the year, which was partially offset by an increase in the second half. The average daily production of broiler chicks increased by over 5.5% during this period.
