REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The President Director of Bulog, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, announced that the company will send 48 tons of premium rice to Batam on Thursday (27/11/2025) as the initial phase of distribution ahead of Christmas and New Year 2025. According to him, this step is taken to ensure the supply remains secure. Rizal asked the public not to worry about potential spikes in demand. He explained that Batam Island is a distribution center for rice in the Riau Islands with a monthly requirement of nearly 1,000 tons. Currently, the stock in the Batam warehouse is recorded at 3,200 tons, while the Karimun Island warehouse holds 250 tons. “This amount is 48,000 kilograms, yes, 48 tons.
