Canada harvested record yields of wheat and canola.

Wheat production in Canada this year increased by 11% compared to 2024, reaching a record 40 million tons, according to the national Canadian Statistical Agency. The estimate for the spring wheat crop is 29.3 million tons, a 10% increase from last year, while the hard wheat crop is estimated at 7.1 million tons, a 12% increase on a yearly basis. Meanwhile, the canola crop also reached a record level of 21.8 million tons, exceeding last year's figure by 13%. The statistical agency indicates that the record harvests were achieved thanks to increased yields for both crops in the country's prairies.
