The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) has announced a 1.77% increase in the cost of milk used in dairy products, which was set to take effect in February 2024. However, industry voices have urged the CDC to delay the price hike. The increase, which will raise the average cost of milk by CAD$0.0153 per litre, is now scheduled to be implemented from May 1, 2024, following stakeholder consultations.
