British trading company Czarnikow predicts that the processing of sugarcane in Brazil's Center-South region for the 2023/24 season could reach 597 million tons, with an estimated 7% increase in agricultural yields, the highest since the 2020/21 harvest. The region is expected to produce 37.6 million tons of sugar, the second highest production ever recorded, with a sugar mix of 47.5% for maximum sugar production. However, despite the increased supply, it is estimated that Brazilian sugar will not be widely available before the fourth quarter of 2023 due to export limitations at the port of Santos.
