Canola cultivation on stubble in Tekirdağ

Teams from the Tekirdağ Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry evaluated the emergence and soil moisture conditions of canola planted on stubble in Karacakılavuz, Süleymanpaşa. Tekirdağ Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mehmet Aksoy, accompanied by a technical team, conducted inspections in a field where a producer had planted canola on stubble in a ten-decare area in Karacakılavuz Village, Süleymanpaşa district. The emergence status, physiological stage, root development, and soil moisture level of the plant were checked on-site. Provincial Director Aksoy emphasized that planting on stubble is a critical method in reducing the increasing effects of drought due to climate change.
