The State of Mexico government has started the carp planting season in the Valle de Bravo region, delivering one million carp fry to 300 aquaculture families and planning to deliver five million to 279 production units and reservoirs, benefiting 11,160 families. The production is estimated to generate an economic benefit of 93 million 737 thousand pesos. The State of Mexico leads the country in landlocked entities' production of trout, tilapia, and carp, among other fish species.
