Sugar cane milling in Brazil's Center-South region accelerated in September, reducing part of the delay recorded at the beginning of the season. According to a survey by FG/A Finanças, based on data from the Sugar Cane Industry Union (UNICA), around 490 million tons were processed by the second fortnight of the month, a result 3% lower than the previous season in the same period, but with improved productivity in the crops.
